Summer Chic Baby Clothes

Another hot summer day! It’s election day today. Vote wisely!

How are you taking the heat? Baby Z is quite chill and comfortable.

Summer is about to end. Before it ends, I want to share with you Baby Z’s Summer Chic look. Baby Z is donning a flowery onesie with her sunglasses!

Sharing with you how to choose Baby Clothes for a Hot Summer Day!

  • Even if you are tempted to have your baby wear layered clothing (whether it may be for an #OOTD or for “just-in-case” thoughts), during hot weather, avoid having them do so. Single layers clothes will be enough.
  • Keep your baby safe from the rays of the sun. I know that they have sunscreen for babies. Please do check with your pedia for a good brand to use. I love sunscreen and I am a believer of sunscreen.

If you have other tips on choosing baby clothes, please comment below! 🙂

“I hope you like it! I forgot where I got my floral onesie. The plastic neon pink shades are from Metro! Department store and the mittens are St. Patrick Baby.

Love lots,

Baby Z”

Mom & Me Event at the Rockwell Tent

When I was little, I loved summer vacation. I would go to my grandmother’s house to go swimming. Most of all, I loved spending time with my mom and dad. Now that I have my little daughter, I can’t wait to bring her along. I can’t wait to enroll her for activities that she can do to enhance her skills. I can’t wait to do activities together. Even if she’s still a baby, I bring her with me wherever I go. I’m planning to bring her to this fun activity at the Rockwell Tent Makati for the Mom and Me event. This will be on May 25 and 26 (from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

Mom & Me at the Rockwell Tent

This event aims to foster the relationship of moms and kids through activities that both can do together. While kids can learn from independent play as it nourishes creativity and imagination and organized activities with other kids as in summer classes, when parents and kids do activities together, it gives them a common sense of purpose and a goal. Kids love receiving the affection and undivided attention of their parents, and want to be able to spend as much time with them as possible.

What are the activities that you can do with your kids during this event? Here are some of the things you can do:

Are you a First Time Parent?

It will be our Baby Z’s second month birthday tomorrow. It just seems like yesterday when we held her in our arms for the first time. Ej and I are First Time Parents. We are parents who want the best for our little one. I remember that before I gave birth, during the 9 months of pregnancy, we did a lot of things to prepare.

We attended a lot of workshops and seminars (by Medela Moms, LATCH, etc.). We attended the Birthing Class of Rome Kanapi. We read books — I think I have three different kinds of pregnancy books here with me. We read articles in the internet and I think I may be one of the frequent visitors of babycenter.com.ph.

There are a lot of things that we needed to learn. I think as parents, even if we strive to be perfect, we cannot be perfect. We’re only human. BUT (emphasis on BUT!), we can continuously educate ourselves so that we can make the best decision for our babies.

There were a lot of things on my mind back then that I wish someone would have given me the answers to. I wish I got to know more people who could help me early on and who would be my support group. These led me to create this workshop series in cooperation with Medela Moms, Inc. and The Learning Basket.

I designed the series to be a four part workshop on topics that deals with (1)pregnancy, (2)post labor and new born care, (3) toddler years and (4) child development and education. The workshop titles are as follows (just to give you an idea):

First Time Parents Workshop: What To Know Before Giving Birth
Date: June 1, 2013

First Time Parents Workshop: Delivery and New Born Care
Date: June 29, 2013

First Time Parents Workshop: Toddler Care
Date: July 6, 2013

First Time Parents Workshop: Helping Your Baby Learn
Date: July 13, 2013

We have already launched and announced the first of the four workshops.

WAHMeo Blog Carnival logo

We wanted to know your thoughts on why WAHMEOs are geared to Succeed. We asked you about your thoughts on WAHMEOs, your Experience as a WAHMEOs, on why do you want to be a WAHMEOs and statistics on WAHMEOs around the globe.

We were so happy with the articles that we have received as entries. Sharing with you the inspiring stories of the participants:

SHED: Thoughts of An Aspring WHAMeo
This mom’s life: The Most Important CEO of All
Working MAMA: On Wanting to Be a WAHMEO
Davao Mommy: The WAHM Lifestyle: Realities, Duties, and Fulfillment
City Girl, Country Home: Precious Gems for You Work-at-Home Mommas
Mamabella Mommy: Living (And Loving) The WAHMeo Life

I was deeply inspired and motivated to do my best in being a WAHMeo. I can’t help it, but sometimes, I feel so pressured with all of the things that I have to do as a mom, wife and entrepreneur. It’s so nice to know that there is a group of women who understands what I’m going through. The mere fact that I know they understand is a big deal for me. We can all inspire each other every day and be the support system for each one 🙂

Also, for the blog carnival, we promised to give prizes for the best write-up.

The winner of the WAHMeo Blog Carnival 2013 is Dianne Kaw with her entry:
This mom’s life: The Most Important CEO of All

Congratulations, Dianne! You will receive a $25 Paypal credit, a business book for moms in business, and one (1) full year FREE hosting of a WordPress site.

Thank you to all those who joined! 🙂
