We wanted to know your thoughts on why WAHMEOs are geared to Succeed. We asked you about your thoughts on WAHMEOs, your Experience as a WAHMEOs, on why do you want to be a WAHMEOs and statistics on WAHMEOs around the globe.

We were so happy with the articles that we have received as entries. Sharing with you the inspiring stories of the participants:

SHED: Thoughts of An Aspring WHAMeo
This mom’s life: The Most Important CEO of All
Working MAMA: On Wanting to Be a WAHMEO
Davao Mommy: The WAHM Lifestyle: Realities, Duties, and Fulfillment
City Girl, Country Home: Precious Gems for You Work-at-Home Mommas
Mamabella Mommy: Living (And Loving) The WAHMeo Life

I was deeply inspired and motivated to do my best in being a WAHMeo. I can’t help it, but sometimes, I feel so pressured with all of the things that I have to do as a mom, wife and entrepreneur. It’s so nice to know that there is a group of women who understands what I’m going through. The mere fact that I know they understand is a big deal for me. We can all inspire each other every day and be the support system for each one 🙂

Also, for the blog carnival, we promised to give prizes for the best write-up.

The winner of the WAHMeo Blog Carnival 2013 is Dianne Kaw with her entry:
This mom’s life: The Most Important CEO of All

Congratulations, Dianne! You will receive a $25 Paypal credit, a business book for moms in business, and one (1) full year FREE hosting of a WordPress site.

Thank you to all those who joined! 🙂

I’m proud to be a WAHMEO — a Work-At-Home-Mom CEO! In this day and age, it is quite noticeable that women have risen to the challenge of owning businesses and becoming entrepreneurs. I remember, in the college that I went to, the entrepreneurship course was only offered to men. I heard that it is now being offered even to women.

In the US (based on the U.S. Census Bureau statistics compiled every five years) last 2007, there were 7.8 million women-owned firms. Among these businesses, 90 percent were small businesses. The statistics though for 2007 showed that women-owned companies grew at twice the rate (44 percent versus 22 percent) compared to the businesses owned by men (report prepared by the Economics and Statistics Administration). Here in the Philippines, we see a lot of women entrepreneurs, especially online, selling crafts, clothes and apparel, beauty products, etc. There are also more and more women who choose to run these businesses as a work-at-home-mom.

We still don’t have the numbers to prove it, but hopefully in the future, we will. I deeply believe that us, WAHMEOs, are geared to succeed. I think we can be as good a leader as our male counterparts. This is a good read from Forbes.com: 8 Strategies Successful Women Entrepreneurs Share with Their Corporate Counterparts This article may be pertaining to women in the workplace, but I think, the way they describe women here, her motivation and way of leading is what also makes us successful WAHMEOs.

Martine, the founder of Wahmderfullife.com, Marge and Jenn from vasupportpro.com and yours truly from MommyGinger.com, would like to start the WAHMEO Blog Carnival 2013.

With Baby Zeeka here, crying every hour or two, asking me to feed her, it’s impossible to get out of the house and buy a few more items that I missed while I was still pregnant. Online shopping has been my best friend and I think it will be for the next month or so. Being a discerning and hands-on mom, I want everything to be perfect for me and my baby. I want things of good taste and quality.

I know that one of the fears that you have when you buy online is you really can’t check the quality of an item before you purchase it. Well, I had no problems with buying things for my baby using Taste Central. Have you visited their site? The minute I saw their site, I was impressed with the design.

Of course, the first thing that I did was I checked on the items being sold for kids.

Kids Section of Taste Central

Kids Section of Taste Central

Taste Central has five categories that you can browse through Home and Living, Women, Men, Kids, and Food. Under Kids, it’s easy to look for things that you are looking for for your children since the site has subcategories (Nursery, Bed and Bath, Toys, Feeding Accessories, Fashion, and Travel). I was so excited to shop. I went through the things that I lacked for Baby Z and intently went through the kids’ section of Taste Central.

I found this high chair that I wanted to buy for her.

I know it’s a bit early to shop for something that she can only use when she’s 6 months old, but anyway, I liked the product, so I bought it. I also bought these other items for Zeeka.

Shopping for Zeeka!

Shopping for Zeeka!

I bought a Chicco Go Baby Carrier (which I already tried wearing this morning… with out Zeeka in it though…yet :P). I forgot to take a picture of it, but I also bought a Spinkie Butterfly Pillow for only Php 940. The Spinkie pillow is a unique chiropractic-inspired pillow for your babies and without.

I bought three items for Zeeka! I had a fun time shopping in between feedings. I love shopping and “window shopping” at Taste Central since the items are easy to find and the website is very user-friendly. They also have great and unique items — it makes me feel that I only have to go through the best of the best!

Choosing items, checking out and even sending payments through the site were easy and very convenient. Items are delivered within 3-5 days.

Mommies, I suggest that you try out the site. BTW, Taste Central is the Official Retail Partner of Deal Grocer. I know that you will love going through the items that they have and buying stuff for yourself, for your little one, for your loved ones and for your home.

And here’s more good news! Taste Central and Mommy Ginger is giving away this cute Bright Starts Infant to Toddler Rocker.
