Our Style Corner

Our family loves fashion, but our styles and our beliefs about fashion have evolved through the years. Initially, we loved buying clothes because it was how we could project out individual sense of style. Brands don’t matter to us though. What we go for is quality. W love things that would last for years. This means that we don’t have to keep on buying.

What we also value more are the fit and comfort. We are busy parents and always on the go, so we really need comfortable clothing.

We are also on our way towards being minimalists in terms of fashion. We just realized that the pandemic has taught us that we can live with just a few items and we don’t really need a lot.

How about you? What’s your style? What clothes do you buy and what do you maintain?

Baby OOTD: Flower Power from Mothercare

When I was growing up, I wasn’t much of a ‘colorful’ dresser. My sister was more into colorful stuff. I always picked the more subdued colors. If we were given blouses by our mom or titas, I would choose the one with the more subdued hue. I loved neutral colors and wouldn’t trade them for hot pinks and oranges. Now that I have my own little girl, I like bright colors for her. Just like this dress from Mothercare!

I so love this dress for Baby Fashionista. Its cut is very simple yet the print is such a standout. I chose a mint green shoe to go with it. See how she loves her OOTD!

Baby OOTD: A Horse and Minnie Mouse from Mothercare

Last week, I showed you the yellow outfits that Baby Z tried on at Mothercare Active Fun. For this week, her Baby OOTD theme are animals, featuring a horse and a famous mouse.

The first outfit from Mothercare Philippines is a long sleeved sweater with colorful sleeves and a hot pink base. A cute horse (well, it looks like a horse but i’m not sure) is seen in front. I paired it with violet jogging pants that I also saw at the store. The jogging pants come in pairs — one violet and one white.

Loved this outfit the most!

I then paired the ensembles with these lovely shoes. I love the cute little hearts on it! It’s so girly!

Don't you like the shoes? So cute! :)

The next Baby Outfit of the Day of Baby Z is this cute Minnie Mouse Red Romper. In the store, I also saw these socks. It also had a Minnie Mouse design (It matched the design of the romper!)

I love the Minnie Mouse detail on the side of the romper. You can see that this was really well made.

Headband is from Lil Miss Belle Hair Accessories. Most of Baby Zeeka’s cute pictures were of her lying down…

This was the only nice picture of her sitting down. Why?

Because, she was distracted by her cute socks (as she is now discovering her feet and toes).

Baby OOTD: Yellow Belle

I love the color yellow on Zeeka. It makes her look pretty! Although, my hubby says anything looks good on our baby girl. He is her number 1 fan. Hmmm, I think we’re tied on that spot.

Last week, Baby Zeeka had a shoot for Mothercare and these were two of the clothes that she loved the most. One was actually bought by moi even before the shoot. The hair accessory for this shoot was ordered from Lil Miss Belle Hair Accessories.

Here’s is Baby Fashionista’s Baby OOTD!

What do you think of Baby Z’s OOTD? What other accessories do you think we should get to complete this look?

Thank you to Mothercare for arranging the fab shoot for the second dress!

Baby Z’s Style Corner featuring Mothercare Philippines

People ask me where do I get my fab outfits. My mommy buys it from her list of “trusted” shops. She has quite a few on her list (she can be very picky!). One of the stores in her list is Mothercare Philippines. The brand may sound like it sells only hardcore baby stuff, like cribs, potty seats, diaper bags, and the other essentials, but guest what?! They also sell cute clothes for babies and toddlers. And these clothes are really very fashion forward, too!

I think I featured one onesie from Mothercare in the past: http://mommyginger.com/2013/05/hot-pink-stripes.html

I also have dresses from Mothercare and I love all of them. Here they are:

I can’t wait to wear more outfits from Mothercare Philippines. I overheard mommy say that I’m going to have a shoot with Kuya Inigo (Son of Tita Frances of MommyTopaz) for Mothercare today. I hope that pushes through! I’m so excited!

Love lots,
Zeeka, The Baby Fashionista

Chateau de Sable Philippines

Baby Z’s Style Corner fans, a lovely day to you! Have you been to SM Aura? It’s like heaven for a tiny trendsetter like me. There are a lot of shops that I can go to to buy new clothes (or rather, for mommy to buy me new clothes). One of the cute stores that I have come across is Chateau de Sable.

Chateau de Sable logo

I love the clothes in this store. What I love is that they use subtle colors that make these clothes timeless and classics in their own right. The creator of Château de sable (meaning sandcastle) is Stéphanie Lemaire, who is French. She comes from a family who works in the textile industry. Looking at the clothes that she designed, I think that she really achieved what she wanted — to design a collection representing both childhood innocence and joy.

Chateau de Sable Style

Mommy wanted to buy me a romper when we visited the store, but I heard her tell daddy that’s she’ll buy one for me for my fifth month birthday. I can’t wait to wear the romper that she’ll buy!

I also saw their dresses and sweaters, and they are all gorgeous! Check these out!

After a few days, it was such a blessing that I received this gift from my Mamou. I love these socks. They fit just right and you can really see that they are made of quality materials.

To see their products, you can go to their branch in SM Aura or you could order from their website: Chateau de sable Website. Their facebook page is Chateau de Sable Philippines

Hope this helps you out!
