Our Style Corner

Our family loves fashion, but our styles and our beliefs about fashion have evolved through the years. Initially, we loved buying clothes because it was how we could project out individual sense of style. Brands don’t matter to us though. What we go for is quality. W love things that would last for years. This means that we don’t have to keep on buying.

What we also value more are the fit and comfort. We are busy parents and always on the go, so we really need comfortable clothing.

We are also on our way towards being minimalists in terms of fashion. We just realized that the pandemic has taught us that we can live with just a few items and we don’t really need a lot.

How about you? What’s your style? What clothes do you buy and what do you maintain?

Baby Blue Jeans

Ba’t ‘di na lang iwanan ang pag-aaral at sama-sama tayong magsaya

Ngunit ang kabataan daw ay kayaman
‘Wag daw basta’t itapon at papabayaan
Kaya magsikap tayo habang may panahon at
Mag-aral at mag-ipon tayo ng karunungan” – Apo Hiking Society

Happy Friday once again!

I’ve been hearing mommy say that she still can’t fit into her jeans. I’m sure she’ll gain back her figure in a few months. I heard that doctor tell her that she can’t workout yet. She can only work out when I’m already 6 months old. Poor mommy! I’m thankful though that she bought me this nice pair of baby blue jeans from Cotton On.

The jeans had little hearts on it. Mommy also bought me my first collared shirt from Cotton On Kids, too, to pair it with the blue jeans. It’s a white top with hot pink prints.

To go with my attire, I matched it with my Celestina & Co. blue violet bow, and black and white Tippy Toes socks that look like shoes (how convenient!). People love these socks and notice it all the time!

How about you? Do you have your own pair of baby blue jeans?

Love lots,

Baby Fashionista, Zeeka

Baby Fashion Friday: Hot, Hot and Hotter

Hi my loyal readers! Welcome to another blog post about the hottest trends in baby fashion. I decided to schedule updates on baby fashion every Friday. I’m calling the updates Baby Fashion Friday (although of course this will still be under the tab Baby Z’s Style Corner).

This week is about color and two of the most loved colors for this season is pink and red. So for this week, my style focuses in using these colors as my base color and mixing it up a bit with prints.

Well, you all saw my dress for my fourth month birthday. To those who haven’t seen it yet, here it is.

St. Patrick Baby Socks

I am wearing a white dress with grey polka dots and a baby pink ribbon in front. This was given to me by my grandmother, which she bought from the US. As you can see, it is still a bit loose, since the dress is actually for a 6 months to 12 months old baby. I paired it with white with pink stripes St. Patrick Baby socks. The headband that I have is a pink headband with a sequined bow from Lil Miss Belle Hair Accessories.

For this week, too, I got to go to meet the other babies from our birthing class. It was so much fun! I had a blast. That day, I wanted to wear red so this is what I came up with…

Red Shorts and 'animal prints' onesie

The red shorts is from Cotton On. The onesie is from Marks and Spencer. The red socks were from Baby Company, given by Tita K, and the headband was a gift, too!

Well, that’s it for this week! I hope you like the baby fashion get-ups that I shared with you today!

Baby Blogger

At home, they call me the Social Media Baby, since I’m always popping up on your Facebook news page. I just love sharing my style and OOTD (outfit of the day… Sorry, I had to explain that for my other relatives who are new to hash tags and social media). I bet that when I grow up, I will love blogging as much as mommy and daddy loves blogging. I see mommy the whole day sitting in front of her laptop and I know that I will want one, too, in the future. I will want to have something that I would be passionate about and I know that even if it isn’t blogging or events or programming or comics, mommy and daddy will still support me 100%.

Now for my outfit for the day…

My top is such a cutie! This top is from Cotton On. I got it from their Greenbelt branch. I also got my red shorts from that store to match the top.

Baby Fashionista’s First Photo Shoot

In her first three months, we have had two photo shoots already for Baby Z (not counting the many shoots with me or EJ as photographer). The first photo shoot was when she was just two weeks old and the second one was just recently taken when she was three months old. It’s so funny because in both times, we got the two ladies who specializes in birth photography.

Baby Z’s Two-Week-Old Baby Photo Shoot

For Zeeka’s two week old shoot, we got Ms. Polly Fong of Oh Happy Day Birth Photography to take her picture.

During the shoot, Zeeka was either nursing, sleeping or crying. She was not in the best of moods. I was constantly nursing her and I really admired Polly for being so patient. She had to wait for me to finish feeding Zeeka before we could start again. I interviewed Polly about her job and wrote about it in The Philippine Online Chronicles.

You can read all about it here: Birth photography: Labor and child birth through the eyes of a photographer

For those who want to talk to Polly about her services, you can email her at ohdbirths@gmail.com or call her at +639175398870 / +6329661200.

Baby Z’s Three-Month-Old Baby Photo Shoot

This time around, I contacted Regina Hahn Siy of My Story Photography. Zeeka was already a bit bigger and she could already afford to carry her head. We already knew her schedule so it was also better for all of us.

For Zeeka’s sixth and ninth month shoot, I’m planning to try other photographers. Are you excited to have your baby’s pictures taken?

Summer Loving with Baby Fashionista

Hi my loves!

It’s me Zeeka, the baby fashionista! It’s Friday once again and I’m her to share with you my outfit for Baby Z’s Style corner for today.

Well for today, I’d like to share my summer get up. I know that it’s June already and the rains have come, but I really miss Summer. So, with that, this is my summer outfit!

I am wearing a turquoise and orange dress (which is actually a onesie). The onesie is connected to the dress. I got this from Baby Company. Mamou, Papou and Tita K bought it for me. I paired it up with a headband and shades that were given by Lola. The socks are, of course, my favorite socks from Tito Gino. I think I already showed you the box in this link: http://mommyginger.com/2013/06/baby-fashionista-pink.html
