Happy First Birthday, Little Miss Zeeka!

Happy birthday to my baby girl! I can’t believe that you’re one already. Time flies so fast, but you’re dad and I are grateful that we have such great memories of us three, together, since the time you were born (and even 9 months before that).

When you were still in mommy’s tummy, we imagined how you would look like and how you would be. We wondered what your personality would be like. Would you take after mommy or daddy? Now, that you’re here with us, we think that you’re perfect in every little way.

I love how you smile so sweetly to everyone that you meet. I love how you hug me and lay your head in my chest when you’re shy. I love how you stretch your little arms and legs in the morning after breastfeeding. I love how you call everyone ‘mama’, even your dad. I love how you say hello and wave with your two little hands. I love how you sign and dance to tunes; as early as now, we see that you love music. I love how you try to bite everyone if you’re in your ‘gigil’ mode. I love how you cry when you’re hungry — you have such a good appetite. I love how you love the water. I love how you can cry one minute and say ‘hahaha’ all of a sudden after a minute. I love how you stretch up your arms forward and say ‘vroom vroom’ as if you were driving a car. I love your sweet ways, panggah!

Know that mommy and daddy will always be here for you. Know that every day, we pray that your future be bright — one that is filled with opportunities, true love and contentment. We pray that when you grow up, you grow up to be a lady with a compassionate heat and a lady with strength of character that is enough to love and guide her own family as much as we love you now. We pray that you always love yourself so that you would be able to love others around you! Entrust everything unto Him, Zeeka.
