Binge Watch on Netflix Shows this Weekend

Reset. I think I need to do this this weekend. I’ve been feeling a bit lost lately. My husband told me, over Bingsu, last night that I just need to rest. He just thinks I’m super tired. So today, I’m at a coffee shop this morning, writing this blog. Writing calms me down, and helps me regain focus again. My husband gave me my ME time this morning to relax and do things that I enjoy. Actually, he gave me the whole day to relax.

So this is my plan, I’ll spend the next two hours writing and reading. Then I’ll go home for lunch and binge watch shows on Netflix. In this post, I’d like to share with you shows that I loved or love (since I’m still watching them) on Netflix. By the way, for those of you who don’t know, you can get Netflix with Globe through the following:

– BROADBAND: Get a free 6-month subscription to Netflix with Plan 1299 and up.

These are great deals from Globe! Just wanted to let you know since I didn’t want you to miss out on these deals. So going back to the shows that I highly recommend.

Series of Unfortunate Events

A Series of Unfortunate Events

SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS

Starring Emmy- and Tony-winning performer Neil Patrick Harris and backed by an outstanding ensemble cast, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is executive produced by acclaimed filmmaker and Emmy® Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld (the Men in Black films, Pushing Daisies, The Addams Family ), who directs four of the episodes.

I love this series because of the superb script, witty lines and fantastic actors! This is a must watch for the whole family.

Santa Clarita Diet

Santa Clarita Diet Season 2

SANTA CLARITA DIET

In the singlecamera series, Joel (Timothy Olyphant, J ustified ) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore, Blended ) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending both their lives down a road of death and destruction…but in a good way.

Apart from being a Drew Barrymore fan, what I love about this series is that it’s very REAL (well, except for the flesh-eating-wife part). The relationship between Joel and Sheila represents what couples go through. This series is very relatable and charming!

SOMETHING IN THE RAIN

I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and korean drama. So the first time I saw Something in the Rain (English title) or Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food (literal title), I was drawn to it. This romcom reminds us that love knows no age. Love is a decision; you have the right to choose a person and love him/her. Super kilig lang when watching this series!

ALI WONG: BABY COBRA

She’s my favorite stand up comedian! She usually talks about being a mom, pregnancy, feminism, her sexual adventures (so this is for grown-ups only) and other topics. Watch her first show on Netflix called Baby Cobra then watch Hard Knock Wife next. You will surely fall off your seat laughing!

I am part of the Netflix Stream Team!

How many of you watched Stranger Things? or House of Cards? These are shows that were shown on Netflix. For those who don’t know what Netflix is, it is the world’s leading internet subscription service for watching TV shows and movies. I’ve been a Netflix user since they first came out in the Philippines since January 2016. I was actually surprised to know that they are now in 190 countries! And guess what, if you are a Netflix subscriber, you are one of the 109 million members enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shoes and movies per day!

In the Philippines, subscription is very affordable. 1 Screen Standard Definition is at Php 370. 2 Screens simultaneously used with HD Definition is at Php 460. Then, 4 screens used simultaneously in HD + Ultra HD 4K is at Php 550. All of these are paid monthly. Not bad at all, right?

I am also so excited to share with you that I am part of the Netflix Stream Team in the Philippines!
They invited me to the launch of the Stream Team which was last weekend. This is what happened during the launch! 🙂

What is so exciting about being part of this family? Well, as a part of the Stream Team, I will be able to share with you the latest updates from Netflix, plus you will learn about the different shows that will be launched via my blog! Ain’t that cool? You, my dear readers, will have the latest news on what Netflix will launch in the next few months, weeks and days.

If you haven’t subscribed to Netflix yet, I highly recommend that you start using it already.

Here are 8 things that I love about Netflix!

1 – I love the content. Aside from showing the different shows that we love and adore, they also produce their own original content. There are a lot of Netflix Originals that I love.

2 – I love that even if they are a global brand, they make it a point to go local. Netflix partners with local content creators to create original content. Aside from that, they have subtitles in different languages.

3 – I love that you can download your favorite shows. When I’m traveling, I usually just watch the episodes or movies that I have downloaded. You can also watch shows anytime, anywhere!

4 – You need not wait or look for the next episode of a series. Everything is laid out for you to watch and “binge” on!

5 – I love that Netflix has an algorithm that looks for shows that I will love! haha! It really understands me and knows what I NEED to watch! haha!

6 – It’s very kid friendly. I can set the account of my daughter and protect her from seeing violent and other inappropriate stuff. I feel safe when she’s on Netflix.

7 – I love that when I transfer device, I start from where I left off. With other platforms, that’s my main concern. I hate looking, fast-forwarding / rewinding to where I left off.

8 – I love that there are no ads! haha! I don’t think I need to explain that.

Move in with Netflix!

So these are the things that make me stick and LOVE Netflix!

Just to give you a rundown of some shows I have watched already, here is a list:
